Getreadywithmemamma you spin me right round baby right round like a record baby right round round round. Do you know that song? Do you remember when 80’s music was so not cool anymore? Do you remember when it was cool again? I’m an 80’s baby forever and sometimes I wish we could go back in time to a simpler time before the internet and all of the flying skateboards. Well, maybe some of “Back To The Future’s” predictions weren’t right, but wow, have we hyperjumped into quite a few of them. I’m dreaming of a simpler time for my children. A time when they could run outside with their neighbors and play for hours without having to schedule a play date. Where we weren’t all holding devices. Simplify your life and lower you expectations those are words of wisdom from one of my favorite vloggers, Emily Norris. She’s right. The key to happiness is not always more, sometimes it is less. I’m moving back to some of the minimalist principles that Brad and I both learned during our years of volunteer corps in Lutheran Volunteer Corps and Americorps. We often learn about the needs of the world through our own larger church organization and through our experiences in our jobs. The best way to teach your kids values is to live them yourself. You can’t expect an hour a week of sitting in some worship space to teach core values. It really is more of an everyday thing and a family thing. So, with our intentions for our family it’s “Back to the Eighties” and living intentionally simply so that others may simply live because whether or not we realize it, we are all connected. And zoom into hyperspace future car 💕😊🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🤪.
