Deck The Halls

Getreadywithmemamma Deck the Halls. We are decking the halls! This year we saved the tree decorating until Christmas Eve day and I’m so glad that we did. Even our dog Maximus Bear got into the spirit and almost ate our mistletoe. Do you put that stuff up? I love it, I’m one big sap. My goal is to be that person whose Christmas tree is always kiddo friendly. Trees, cookies, presents.... these things are for kids big and small. Joy is a feeling and it’s rather complex. That’s why people like children and those without much in life get it the most. It involves letting go of your pride, greed, anger, hatred and most of all control. Let them go and exhale. 98 percent of families are dysfunctional, just throwing that in there, I know Christmas like any family holiday can be a trickster. Keep it simple my friends. If you celebrate it religiously, or commercially. May you settle in somewhere cozy and let grace, gratefulness and peace fall upon your heart. May the simplicity of thankfulness replace any pain of the year. For real, peace like real joy is actually complex and it all involves letting go.
