Called Home In the Middle of Beauty

Getreadywithmemamma through the beauty of it all. So, today was a rest and play day for us all as we recover from various illnesses. No one is terribly ill, just a part of adjusting back from break. I spent time playing with our son after school, since he’s on antibiotics and seems to be doing incredibly better. While riffling through legos with him, I took this pic and yes, he is only partly in the picture here. I just love this picture though, because most of the day I spent snuggling my babes and this shows that. Best day ever. I actually really love slower days the best. I love them. I think that what we remember the most about childhood is the time that we got to spend with our loved ones. I know that’s cliche and I also know that no family is perfect and we all have struggles. However, I really do think that the riches are in the quality time. I think it’s worth it, whatever sacrifice you make to enjoy some time together. In order to say yes to one thing you must also say no to all sorts of things. Today, I was also thinking about the feeling that I got when I traveled to a friend’s wedding and had to adjust from the bustle of travel and walked into a room with flowers and decorations and found myself in the middle of beauty. I just wanted to capture that feeling in a bottle and to keep it for all times. That’s the same feeling I had in this moment, snuggling my son. That’s why I’m not ashamed to say that I plan on keeping my life balance focused on my family first, as I venture into my Lactation Consulting practice and continue with Getreadywithmemamma. They are fabulous outlets, where I get to show up as me in a fun, professional creative way. However, my heart is right when I make my home life my grounding center. That’s me, it’s taken a while to get that and that’s ok 💗🙌🏼😊😊🤓.
