A Sense of Humor

Getreadywithmemamma my kids sense of humor is off the charts. I like to think that it’s genetic from both sides. Something I noticed about both sides of our family this holiday season was how much humor we all have. Humor is the grease that keeps the world’s wheels turning round and round. This time of year is hard. It’s actually the hardest time for those who struggle, which is everyone. It’s hard and life is hard. Joy, humor and love are not constant states no matter what your social media feed tells you. I remember learning in a psych class that the fancier the home, the more pain you’ll find inside. We do funny things with pain. Mostly, we hide. It’s ok to feel pain, it’s ok to feel it how you feel it. May humor show up in your lives this time of year, as a friend to help you in your dark hours and as light to celebrate your bright hours. Light and dark, we all have them both.
